Hi Grace, I really enjoy your piece. It is thoughtful. By looking at your working process, I can see you put a lot of effort into this project. I really like the way you manipulate with the cutting and waste materials. I think it will be great if you can add the credit at the end of the video so that it looks formally and save your copyright.
ReplyDeleteI so so love the results of your stop motion animation! For me, the format seemed to so naturally lend itself to slapstick and a project that felt fun and funny, and it was so great to see a project where you were able to capture something that has an aspect of seriousness amidst its playful aspects. I'm not quite sure what is making the piece feel more serious -- it might be your choice in sound or the incorporation of darker backgrounds in addition to lighter ones -- but I think its success lies in this sense of mystery. The objects are somewhat concrete, but the message is abstract. My only suggestion is to keep playing with this specific idea and your own created images! Maybe even try to push even darker imagery and see where it takes you.
ReplyDeleteI really love this stop motion animation you created. It looks super fun and whimsical, and it also feels very "you." I think it is very important to create art work that's reflective of your own artistic aesthetic and point of view. There also seems to be a playful story in your animation that left viewers to imagine and wonder. My only suggestion is probably adding some light background music to make this animation even more dynamic and completed.
ReplyDeleteHi Grace! I really love how your stop motion video turned out! Differently from mine, yours had a definite process and direction throughout the video, and I really liked to see how much better yours turned out because of it! I also like that you added special effects to your video because it was something that I didn't consider when making my own. In general, your stop motion helped me see/consider all of the possibilities it could have in the classroom!
ReplyDeleteHi Grace I love your stop motion animation! Different than other people's story, your animation is a combination of paper cutting, decoration, color and poetic reflection, which extends my imagination of what stop motion animation can express through photos in sequence and helps me see the potential and possibility of abstract feelings can be delivered through digital format.
